As someone who has experienced life-transitions and overwhelm, I understand what it feels like to carry a lot internally while still showing up for life, and I help clients untangle and work through unhelpful patterns so that they can feel more grounded, clear and in control.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) who works with adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I specialize in helping individuals who feel tired, overwhelmed, and unsure of their next step, but are ready for change. I work with clients who are carrying more that they let others see and help them gain clarity, build healthier patterns, and feel more grounded and in control of their lives.
My approach is warm, supportive, and grounded in evidenced -based practices such as CBT and mindfulness. I help clients better understand the patterns behind their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing practical tools to manage stress, build healthier habits, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I love CBT and think it is extremely helpful in identifying patterns of thinking as well as core beliefs that a person has established throughout their life. I find the most benefit in using thought records and other means to challenge negative automatic thoughts.
I use a lot of psychoeducation on the concept of CBT, and then we use thought records, journaling, mindfulness, and radical acceptance to name a few of the tools.
I know a client is making progress when I see them recognize unhelpful or negative thoughts without being directed toward them.
Clients can supplement their time in cognitive behavioral therapy by keeping an open mind and exploring other perspectives!

Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. The success rate of CBT varies depending on the intentions of the client and their condition(s).
The selection between cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) is based on an individual’s unique needs and challenges. CBT is commonly chosen for addressing conditions such as anxiety and depression, whereas DBT is especially beneficial for individuals dealing with borderline personality disorder, emotional regulation issues, and difficulties in interpersonal relationships.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with our Thriveworks therapists in Allentown, PA is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Generally, CBT is considered a short-term therapy, typically lasting for about 12 to 20 weekly sessions. In some cases, it might extend to around 16 to 20 sessions for more complex issues.
