Amber Williams is Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois with 12 years of professional work experience in the mental health field. Amber has experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, LGBTQI+-related issues, relationship issues, & trauma and abuse. Amber completed her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. She also possesses an additional Master's degree in Forensic Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Amber has experience with managing gender affirming programs and has been trained by the World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH) and considers herself an ally and advocate for underserved populations. She incorporates mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, person-centered therapy (PCT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) to name a few.
