About
As a nursing professional working in the health care field since 2007, I understand the importance of mental health and wellness and how it affects every person, directly or indirectly, at some point in their lives.
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 8 years of experience in the nursing profession. I specialize in outpatient mental health care for adults and have worked across medical-surgical, home health, cardiology, and psychiatric settings. I am passionate about increasing access to mental health care, particularly for individuals facing barriers to services, and supporting overall mental wellness.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice with a psychiatric mental health focus from Idaho State University. My approach is holistic and patient-centered, integrating medication management with psychotherapy, lifestyle support, and wellness strategies to promote balanced mental health outcomes.
I strive to create a supportive and collaborative space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered in your care. Together, we will focus on your goals, strengths, and overall well-being. I would be honored to partner with you on your mental health journey and invite you to schedule an appointment when ready.

No one lives in a box, and I look at the entire person which means how physical health and environment impacts and interplays with mental health.
My path to becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner was different than most. I completed my bachelor's degree and floundered, not finding a career that felt right before returning to school to become a nurse, then nurse practitioner. Throughout school, I was the go-to person when others needed someone to listen, so mental health and psychiatry felt like the obvious choice. I have worked in a variety of settings, from the corrections to mental health crisis centers. I began working as a psychiatric NP in 2013, with extensive experience in serious mental illness, addiction, depression, anxiety, and substance use within my own family.
As a nurse practitioner I incorporate my insight from all my various life experiences and work settings to create an individualized plan that addresses the patient as a whole person, not just their mental health medication. My goal is to help someone feel better and have a better quality of life.
Each of my patients is an individual to me, with their own life, stressors, and challenges—but also their own skills and strengths. I want to focus on the positives and moving forward in reaching healing and recovery, not just in mental health but also life in general.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Psychologists are mental health professionals that provide psychotherapy services and diagnoses for their clients. They have more research-focused training than most therapists, as they are more medically educated and receive a more general education about therapeutic approaches and theory.
Thriveworks psychologists in Boise, ID provide standard psychotherapy services, tailoring treatment to each client and their unique concerns. However, they can also provide diagnoses to clients when appropriate, something that therapists and counselors cannot do. Finally, in some states in the U.S., they are allowed to prescribe medication.
Psychological treatment at Thriveworks Boise is very individualized and specific to each client, which means that the duration of treatment is often varied depending on a client’s condition or disorder, the state of their symptoms, and their specific goals.

Psychologists can help people in many different ways. One person might see a psychologist because they feel overwhelmed with work stress and getting home late. Another person might see a psychologist because their parents are getting a divorce, and now when they come home for the holidays, their childhood bedroom will be gone.
Others might work with a psychologist to work through a mental illness, improve their self-confidence, strengthen their relationship, and more. More reasons to work with a psychologist include:
Here at our Boise office, we believe mental health care should be client-focused and centered around putting your needs first. That’s why when you start working with one of our mental health professionals, you will be assessed for your specific challenges, conditions, and goals. They will then work with the tools and techniques that will prove beneficial to you and your treatment plan.
The goal of working with a psychologist is to help you with things like…
