About
As a veteran, I offer a deeply personal understanding that helps me create a safe, supportive space, fostering connection and understanding.
Welcome! I am Monika Parker, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor in Texas, who is currently being supervised by Adam Dueber LPC-S. I earned my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. I invite Military & Veterans, military families, adolescents and adults.
My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT and a person centered approach. We will focus on building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel safe, connected, and free to show up as your authentic self while creating space for reflection, healing, and growth.
I aim to champion holistic mental health and walk alongside individuals as they navigate their journey toward self-understanding and fulfillment. What drives my work is witnessing the transformation that happens when clients move from moments of vulnerability to a place of confidence, clarity, and empowerment.

As a licensed mental health therapist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate and evidenced-based support to help individuals navigate their mental health challenges and achieve personal growth.
Victor Taylor is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 8 years of experience. He specializes in anxiety and depression and helps clients navigate the complexities of these mental health challenges. Victor’s ideal client feels overwhelmed by persistent feelings of worry and sadness and is seeking a supportive and understanding environment to explore these symptoms. They may struggle with daily functioning, experience difficulty in relationships, or find it hard to enjoy activities they once loved. The primary goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can openly discuss their thoughts and feelings.
Victor received his Master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Old Dominion University. Through evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness practices, Victor works with clients to identify and challenge negative thought patterns, develop coping strategies, and build confidence.
Victor’s goal is to empower others to regain control over their lives, improve their emotional well being, and achieve a greater sense of balance and fulfillment. By addressing both the symptoms and underlying causes of anxiety and depression, clients will move towards a healthier and more hopeful future.

As a woman who has endured trauma, grief, and loss, I am genuinely caring and want to help others through their most difficult times in life.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 7 years of experience working with school-aged children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish and focus on supporting individuals as they navigate everyday stressors, emotional challenges, and concerns that may feel overwhelming to manage alone.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Texas at San Antonio. My clinical approach is trauma-informed and integrates cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapies. I also incorporate grounding, mindfulness, and imagery techniques to help clients strengthen coping skills and emotional regulation.
I believe clients are the experts in their own lives, and I strive to create a safe, supportive therapeutic space where growth and self-awareness can unfold. It is a privilege to support individuals on their healing journey, and I look forward to partnering with you as you work toward meaningful and lasting change.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
The five keys to mastering anger include identifying triggers, pausing before reacting, calmly expressing emotions, discovering constructive outlets for frustration, and seeking professional assistance if necessary. Acquiring these skills through Anger management therapy empowers individuals to effectively manage and navigate their anger.
The best therapy for anger management often involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior related to anger.
Anger management therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Often, Anger management therapy lasts between 4-6 weeks. However, it can last longer, dependent on the individual’s needs.
