About
My journey began with a passion for nursing and serving others. Healing begins with feeling heard, understood, and respected. I create a safe space where you can openly share concerns and take an active role in care.
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of nursing experience and a strong foundation in mental health care. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with mental health conditions.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and culturally responsive. Healing begins with feeling heard, understood, and respected. I create a safe space where you can share openly and take an active role in care. Together, we build personalized, evidence-based plans that support emotional stability and lasting wellness. I encourage questions and honest dialogue.
I help clients reach their goals by combining careful assessment, medication management when appropriate, education, and ongoing collaboration. We regularly review progress, adjust treatment as needed, and focus on building skills and resilience that support long-term success.

Depression is a mental illness that can take over your life and cause a variety of psychological, emotional, and physical symptoms. Therapy has become a buzzword in recent years, but you might still feel a social stigma about seeking counseling. We want to do everything we can to break the stigma surrounding mental health care. At Thriveworks, skilled and empathetic therapists help clients work through their depression using a variety of techniques and treatments.

Oftentimes, therapists implement the use of both approaches in order to treat depression more holistically. Whether your depression is triggered by trauma from your past or ongoing stress at work or home, the right therapist or counselor can help you work through it by discussing your personal needs and goals.
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is an example of a type of psychotherapy frequently used to treat depression. CBT focuses on helping people notice and change negative patterns of thought and behavior.
