About
I feel I will be able to help a variety of individuals achieve their goals through therapy because of the experience I bring through years of work and personal life experiences I have gone through on my own or with my family.
Hello, I am Robert Kirby, a clinical social worker. I've worked as a clinician in the mental health field since 2001 and became a licensed clinician in 2003. Over the years, I've worked as a clinical social worker (therapist) in medical care practices, in in-patient programs for drug rehab and psychiatric care, and as a therapist for elderly clients in nursing homes, as well as with families whose loved ones are in hospice care. I believe everyone has the ability to achieve their goals with the right help and the willingness to work at it. Taking that first step toward change is the hardest step to make.
When choosing a therapist, think about what you're looking for. I challenge you to think in new ways, like asking questions about your questions or playing devil's advocate. If you're up for a challenge, I'll support your work toward your goals. Each client connects differently, so I use varied techniques in session and homework to help therapy succeed.
Working with me will bring you the success you want, as long as you're doing the work needed too. No success is achieved without hard work. I look forward to being your guiding hand as you move through the process of your therapeutic work.
