Donna has been my lifeline for 6 years. She challenges me to think bigger and give myself grace. Donna has never missed an appointment and checks in with me when she doesn't have to. I've pushed myself to do things out of my comfort zone because of her and the results have been unmeasurable. Never once have I felt judged and she gives her full and undivided attention. I cannot say enough about her and I could not be more grateful that I found her.

She listened to me. The first time we met she asked me all sorts of questions and then sat back and let me talk. She was THE FIRST to really listen and diagnose me. Once I had the diagnosis, my best friend and I said finally. I'm now on medication and feel like I'm functioning fully for the first time in years.

Experience effective therapy with a counselor or therapist in Massachusetts

Online Counseling Services in Massachusetts—Telephone and Video Counseling Options

When you aren’t feeling well—say, you have a fever, you’ve developed a bad cough, you’ve fallen and hurt yourself—what can you do? You can go to the doctor or you can try to remedy your sickness or injury at home. OR, you can do both—you can combine your doctor’s treatment with a little self-care.

There are many similarities in taking care of your mental health. When you aren’t feeling well mentally—say, you’re struggling after a breakup, you are grieving the loss of a loved one, or you’re feeling extra stressed lately—what can you do? You can go to a counselor or another mental health professional or you can try to work through your challenge(s) yourself. OR, you can do both—you can combine your counselor’s guidance and support with self-care.

Learn more about starting a relationship with an exceptional counselor

Our physical and mental health are equally important. If you start to feel mentally or emotionally unwell, you should consider seeing a professional. For some, this is intimidating or out of their comfort zone, when it comes to mental health counseling. If this describes you, explore online counseling opportunities. This is the more comfortable, convenient way to work with a mental health professional. Thriveworks Counseling in Massachusetts is proud to offer online counseling, by phone and video. You can schedule an appointment using our online booking widget or call us to find out more.

Does Online Counseling Really Work? How?

If you have reservations about online counseling, you’re probably wondering, “Does it really work? And if so, how?” Yes, online counseling really works! The only major difference between the traditional in-person counseling approach and the less conventional online counseling approach is that the latter is conducted in a virtual environment. Here at Thriveworks Counseling, we have two effective virtual options: telephone and video counseling.

Both telephone and video counseling prove to help people—they find just as much (if not more) success in their online work as they would in-person. Now, if you’re wondering if there’s a better option out of the two, it comes down to personal preference. Some people would prefer not to see their counselor face-to-face (which makes online counseling appealing to these individuals). If this is you, telephone counseling is the route to take. If, on the other hand, you are interested in that face-to-face engagement, video counseling is the better option for you.

Either way, meeting with your online counselor is simple. They’ll either call you at the time of your appointment or you’ll join the video chat room at the time of your session, depending on which option you have chosen!

What Types of Therapy Are Offered Online at Thriveworks?

As we’ve said before, the only major difference between in-person and online counseling is the environment that this work is taking place in. This means that you can find many of the same counseling services in online counseling! For example, Thriveworks Counseling in Massachusetts can offer the following mental health services by phone or video:

  • Family therapy
  • Child therapy
  • Marriage counseling
  • Couples therapy
  • Depression therapy
  • Anxiety therapy
  • Trauma and PTSD counseling
  • Grief and loss counseling
  • Stress and anger management

If you’re interested in the above services, consider scheduling an appointment with one of our online counselors. We can offer other types of therapy, too, as our counselors have many different skills and specialties—so, if you’re searching for another form of mental health help, please do reach out to us. We likely have a counselor who can offer the right help and we can point you in the right direction.

Schedule Online Counseling at Thriveworks Counseling in Massachusetts

If you’re looking for online counseling and you live in Massachusetts, you are in the right place! You can schedule an online counseling appointment at Thriveworks Counseling right now: use our online booking widget to schedule a session that works for you.

Remember, online counseling allows you to work from a distance, so they do not have to work at the office closest to you! After reading their specialties, choose the counselor that you think best suits your needs. You can also call us for scheduling assistance—our team would be happy to help.
