About
As a woman of color who has struggled with ADHD her entire life, I understand how life changing getting the help we need to change our life can be, and I would love to help you on your journey back to yourself.
Hi, I’m Tanya Lorenzi, a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience, licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. I specialize in working with women navigating ADHD, trauma, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like they’ve lost a sense of who they are. My work focuses on helping them reconnect with themselves, build emotional clarity, and create meaningful, lasting change so they can feel grounded, confident, and like themselves again.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I integrate evidence-based methods like EMDR alongside practical tools to help clients process painful experiences, regulate emotions, and move forward with greater clarity. Clients can expect a supportive space that balances depth, structure, and compassion.
I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can exhale — where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to grow. If you’re ready to reconnect with yourself and create meaningful change, I’d be honored to walk alongside you in that process.

With over 20 years of experience, I have realized that life situations happen when you least expect it.
Leslie Middleton Walters, EdD, is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with 26 years of experience in the mental health field. In times of death, divorce, financial issues, family relational problems, or any issue that brings about episodes of emotional unrest, Leslie believes that it is always best to reach out to someone that can assist with de-escalating fears and re-establishing hope, and provide encouragement to persevere during the dark times. Her primary goal is to help others face their challenges, fears, and become the person that they want to be through the development of lifelong coping skills, in an environment that is accepting and open to individualized thoughts and ideas.
Leslie completed both her Master of Science (MS) in Mental Health Counseling and her Master of Science (MS) in Guidance and Counseling at Fort Valley State University. She went on to complete her Doctor of Education (EdD) in Counseling Psychology at Argosy University. Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques and other evidenced-based practices, Leslie assists those seeking a brand-new start to let go and accept their past so that they can invest in their future. While her degrees have provided her with the education to engage in expert counseling strategies, it has been Leslie's hands-on experience in helping others that has given her the emotional tools to help those take that first step to a new beginning.
It is because of these experiences, that my counseling practices are built upon a foundation of faith, hope, trust, perseverance, and the understanding that helping others is one of the greatest privileges of my life.

As a bi-racial gay man raised in the American South, I am intimately familiar with building community, deepening an understanding of myself, and navigating through issues that arise from being in this beautiful, diverse, and sometimes challenging cultural landscape.
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) with 2+ years of experience supporting clients through identity exploration, emotional challenges, and life transitions. I work with individuals across diverse backgrounds, including those navigating gender and sexuality, neurodivergence, trauma, eating and body-image concerns, and relationship dynamics. I strive to understand each person as a unique individual with strengths, values, and resilience, and I create a space where your story is met with curiosity, empathy, and respect.
I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia, where I trained in LGBTQ+ concerns, neurodiversity, eating disorders, trauma, and identity development. I integrate cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavior, and internal family systems therapies, along with motivational interviewing and mindfulness. I am also offering EMDR standard protocol for both in-person and virtual clients.
I hope to support you through every part of your healing journey, whether your moments are joyful, painful, or confusing. Therapy with me offers a reflective, nonjudgmental space to understand your experiences. Together, we’ll explore your story, build emotional tools, and move toward a grounded, authentic life.

I understand that life and relationships can feel overwhelming when we are working at it alone, sometimes that extra ear is all the support we need.
Ja'Nay Perry is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) that specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship problems, ASD (autism spectrum disorder) related problems, and intimacy issues. Ja'Nay has years of experience in the mental health field starting as a registered behavior technician (RBT) and later going into the counseling field. While she started off primarily working with children & adolescents she has now expanded her focus to individual adults and couples, focusing on intimacy, communication, and relationship management.
Ja'Nay holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. She has built her foundation on believing that when it comes to our mental health a lot of the thoughts and feelings we experience stems from our subconscious trying to communicate that there is something that we need to tend to. Her framework is growth-oriented and client-centered.
Ja'Nay believes that it does not matter if you are little or big, when we are facing life's challenges alone things can naturally feel like a lot. So if you are looking for a holistic approach, a none judgmental space, and a practice rooted in collaboration/empowerment - you have found the right person.

Sex therapy addresses challenges and concerns, helping couples move forward in a healthy manner while addressing each person’s fears or worries. Sex is the closest form of intimacy, and when there are issues, the couple can feel distant and experience friction — sex therapy helps to dissolve this friction.
Sex therapy providers at Thriveworks in Marietta, GA take the time to address each person individually, as well as the couple as a whole. Through acknowledgment that each person brings a different sexual history, level of sexual desire, and openness, the couple can work through their unique sex issues successfully, with their therapist’s guidance.
Sex therapy at Thriveworks in Marietta, GA is conducted both in person and virtually via online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Sex therapy typically lasts for several months. However, it can be shorter or longer, depending on the couple’s needs.
The world is full of references to sex. When you are suffering with a sexual issue or painful sexual history, each media reference to sex is painful. It is impossible for most adults to go very long without thinking about sex. When you are trying to break free from a sexual issue, every mention or thought of sex is wrought with emotion. When you call to connect with a Thriveworks Marietta counselor or therapist, you are beginning the process of creating a new normal. Let us walk with you in defining your problem, understanding its root, and creating a plan for victory over it.
There are a wide range of sexual issues, and sadly, they can affect people of all ages. Children, obviously, should know nearly nothing about sex. Yet, it is a sad reality of society today that some children have knowledge of sexual behavior. Whether you are looking for help for your child, teen, your relationship, or your spouse, Thriveworks Marietta, GA counselors and therapists can help.
Perhaps you are not trying to work on a specific problem, but rather are attempting to improve your current relationship or marriage. If you are struggling with a more serious concern, this list may be useful to you. Some common types of sexual issues include:

If you and your spouse or partner are having difficulty with sexual intimacy, this can flow over into many different areas of your life. When a couple is having trouble in the bedroom, communication can become strained, and distance can be created. When these problems are ongoing, they build upon each other and can create a deep divide between two people who still love and care for each other a great deal. Thriveworks Marietta sex therapists and counselors can help each individual in a relationship understand their role in the sexual issue, and work to redefine and recreate the intimacy they lost.
Perhaps you are only trying to deal with your own sexual history and issues. If you have suffered abuse, it can take years to reestablish a healthy emotional state with regards to sex. Thriveworks Marietta therapists and counselors can help you make this a reality. We will help you develop a plan of action, walk with you as you take the steps necessary for real change, and help you assess your progress.
