I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Community Care and Counseling: Traumatology and six years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. In our sessions, you can expect a collaborative and supportive environment where your goals guide our work. I view therapy as a process of growth and self-discovery—one that helps you unlock your potential, build resilience, and embrace change. My ultimate goal is to empower you to find meaning, healing, and fulfillment in your life.

To paraphrase an old but true saying, “the only thing constant in life is change.” One thing that was left out is that change can often times be scary and hard. Just when we think things are going good, life has a way of throwing us a curve ball just to make things “interesting.” Whether you are experiencing difficulty with coping with changes related to your emotions, your relationships, your job, your health, or just life in general, counseling can help. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with approximately 12 years of experience with working with children, adults, families, and couples. I am proud to have an all-inclusive practice that serves clients and families of varying ethnicities, sexual orientations, socio-economic status, and other cultural backgrounds. I take pride in providing a comfortable and welcoming (yet always professional) environment where clients are encouraged to be open and honest. My primary goal is to help my clients to uncover their innate ability to adapt and thrive despite any challenges they may face. Common issues that I help with include depression, anxiety, self-esteem, anger management, relationship stressors, behavior issues, trauma and abuse, stress management, relational codependency, suicidal thoughts, and grief. I utilize a holistic/systems approach to counseling in order to understand the impact that a client’s mental, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being may have on the issues that they are facing. While I believe quality training is important, I also believe that it is just as important to find a counselor that is a good “fit.” I would the love the opportunity to see if I am a good fit to help assist you on your journey. With online counseling (within the state of Georgia), and 24/7 scheduling, you are just one mouse click/phone call of way, so…let’s HEAL together!
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Christian counseling in Marietta is a form of faith-based counseling that utilizes psychological and spiritual techniques to guide and support. Often, Christian counselors often incorporate prayer and scripture-reading into treatment to help practicing Christians work through their challenges.
Christian counseling works by focusing on themes of hope and healing through one’s faith. At Thriveworks, your Christian counselor will discuss Christian values and relate them to your unique struggles. You can expect to discuss the following with them:
Christian counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Christian counseling can last for a few weeks, months, or longer. It depends on what challenges the client might be working through, the severity of those challenges, as well as other needs or preferences.
Practicing Christianity isn’t always a walk in the park. Our connection with God doesn’t depend on how much we do outside of the church. Sometimes, simply having faith that God will see your actions and guide you through is all you need. If you want to grow your faith in God, Christian counseling might be right for you.
At Thriveworks Marietta Counseling, we offer Christian counseling services to help those who want to strengthen their relationship with God and overcome the obstacles we face in life. To schedule an appointment with a Thriveworks Cobb counselor, call (404) 439-9981.
Much like regular counseling services, Christian counseling is aimed at providing clients with the support and tools they need to overcome life’s challenges and meet their goals. Christian counseling’s core, however, is centered around God and His teachings in order to provide faith-based support.
When you start to work with a Christian counselor, they will perform assessments to gauge what your exact challenges, needs, and goals are in order to craft a unique plan of care. Within this plan, your counselor will use a variety of methods in order to help you achieve what you want. Some of the different methods include:
These are not the only methods you may see in your sessions with a Thriveworks Cobb Christian counselor. Practicing strong Christian values doesn’t always come easy. That’s why asking for help should be seen as a strong decision, not a sign of weakness.
There is an array of reasons why someone may seek the help of a licensed Christian coach. No two people, or their stories, are alike. Some of the reasons you may want to speak with a psychologist are:
Are you ready to take the next step and find the help you’ve been looking for? Are you looking for ways to improve your connection with God? You may be ready to get help from a licensed Christian counselor. Luckily, Thriveworks Marietta Counseling has the compassionate, understanding care you are looking for.
To schedule an appointment with one of our providers, visit our online booking portal or call (404) 439-9981.
