About
Having experienced close family loss and living with a learning disability, I deeply understand how life’s challenges can weigh heavily and the pressure to push beyond what feels humanly possible.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate with 4 years of experience supporting individuals and families through times of challenge and change. My background includes providing care in both academic and correctional settings, where I focused on family connection, emotional regulation, and rehabilitation. My master’s internship was at a male correctional facility, where I worked in both group and individual settings focused on emotional growth and resilience. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate learning and developmental disabilities, build coping skills, and find renewed purpose in their healing journey.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from West Virginia University. I use cognitive behavioral therapy and mindful interviewing to help clients manage emotions, strengthen coping skills, and shift unhelpful thought patterns.
My approach is compassionate, goal-focused, and collaborative. I truly care about understanding what you’re going through and providing a safe, supportive space for healing. You don’t have to face things alone. Let’s navigate this journey together. When you’re ready, I’m here for you.

Alcohol addiction counseling in Charlotte can help people manage their urges to consume alcohol. In addition, it can help people manage the challenges that stem from their addiction, from relationship issues to problems at work, as well as issues that their addiction may stem from, like trauma.
Alcohol addiction counseling works by helping one understand the underlying causes of their addiction, teaching them coping strategies, and recognizing their specific triggers. Long-term or ongoing alcohol addiction counseling can also help to prevent relapse.
Alcohol addiction counseling from our therapists in Charlotte, NC is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The length of alcohol addiction counseling with our providers at Thriveworks in Charlotte, NC depends on the individual’s needs and the extent and severity of their addiction, as well as the problems that might stem from it. That said, people can make meaningful progress in alcohol addiction counseling in the first weeks to months.
The question of how alcohol addiction develops is not a simple one to answer. Many people believe that it is purely genetic and passed down from one generation to the next. Whilst there is a grain of truth to this idea, it certainly isn’t the whole picture. The truth is that alcohol addiction is a complex disorder with a diverse range of environmental and psychological factors that affect its development. If we think of a car as an analogy – the addict’s genetics are the engine of the car and the environmental and psychological problems are the fuel that allows it to move.
