What tools do you teach in PTSD/trauma therapy?

I utilize a trauma-informed approach and draw from elements of narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), and mindfulness. I frequently teach clients who have a PTSD/trauma history a variety of coping skills that specifically suit their needs.

How do you know when a client is making meaningful progress in PTSD/trauma therapy?

I know a client is making meaningful progress in PTSD/trauma therapy when they demonstrate a reduction in symptoms that initially brought them to therapy.
