My go-to approach for supporting clients through grief & loss is by meeting them where they are. Folks who experience grief & loss may be navigating a number of emotions and stressors and, as a clinician, it is important to explore and understand the goals of the client in this setting.
I utilize a trauma-informed approach and draw from elements of narrative therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solutions-focused therapy (SFT), and mindfulness.
