I hold a master’s degree in psychiatry and mental health and a master’s degree in nursing from Rocky Mountain University. Hello, my name is Henry Clopton, and I'm a native Atlantan who believes in true communalism. I grew up on the Southwest side of Atlanta and attended Morehouse College and Georgia State University for my undergraduate work, then Georgia State for my master's in Rehabilitation Counseling. I'm currently in my third year of a Ph.D. program in the Humanities — with a double concentration in African American Studies and History — at Clark Atlanta University. I work with clients navigating self-esteem, anger, anxiety, depression, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, marriage and relationship struggles, existential issues, and more.
During sessions, I create comfort through real conversation — to erase any fears or stereotypes about the counseling process. When you're in the therapeutic space with me, I want you to feel proud, capable, and enough. From there, we do the root work together — through whatever uncomfortable moments of growth that takes.
My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself. I want to give you the tools to meet any challenge and be a positive influence in your community. I hope to build a network of people who actively promote therapy and stand in the gap for those who don't yet know what it can do for their lives. Let's schedule some time to simply talk.

I know what it feels like to hold everything together while silently struggling inside, and that is why I create a space where you can finally exhale, be seen, and start healing at your own pace.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 4 years of experience supporting clients through life transitions, stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, and emotional healing. I work with adults and adolescents and strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you gain clarity, strengthen self-awareness, and build tools that support lasting change.
I earned my master's degree in counseling from Nova Southeastern University, where I gained a strong foundation in evidence-based practices. My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness-based strategies, and person-centered care, allowing me to tailor sessions to your unique needs and goals.
My goal is to partner with you as you navigate challenges, uncover patterns, and create meaningful shifts in your life. Together, we will build a plan that supports your growth, confidence, and emotional well-being. You deserve support that honors your story, and I look forward to helping you take the next step toward healing.

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 9 years of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based mental health care to adolescents and adults. I earned my master’s degree in nursing from Colorado State University Pueblo. My professional background includes emergency room nursing, quality management, and nursing education. Growing up in rural Northern New Mexico deeply shaped my appreciation for cultural diversity and the role it plays in resilience, connection, and healing.
I believe effective mental health care goes beyond medication alone and focuses on collaboration, education, and trust. I strive to help you understand your symptoms, treatment options, and goals so you feel empowered in your care. If you are looking for honest support in a welcoming space, I invite you to schedule an appointment so we can begin working together.

Yes, there are therapists who help with anger via Anger management therapy. It’s a therapeutic process that an individual goes through to manage their anger and identify its triggers. They’re given clear instructions on how to improve their angry behavior as well as a safe space for opening up about their emotions.
Once an individual’s triggers are identified, anger management therapy focuses on helping the individual process and respond to these emotions in a more positive and productive manner. The anger management therapist will provide coping strategies and ultimately help their client take back control of their anger.
The five keys to mastering anger include identifying triggers, pausing before reacting, calmly expressing emotions, discovering constructive outlets for frustration, and seeking professional assistance if necessary. Acquiring these skills through Anger management therapy empowers individuals to effectively manage and navigate their anger.
The best therapy for anger management often involves cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which helps individuals identify and change patterns of thinking and behavior related to anger.
Anger management therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Often, Anger management therapy lasts between 4-6 weeks. However, it can last longer, dependent on the individual’s needs.
Includes individual, couples, child/ teen, & family therapy
Includes reducing symptoms with medication & management
