About
As a warm and compassionate therapist, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain insight, and develop lasting skills for change.
I am a licensed independent social worker–clinical practice (LISW-CP) with 52 years of experience supporting adults through anxiety, trauma, depression, aging-related concerns, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I provide telehealth counseling with a grounded, compassionate approach built over decades of work with diverse populations, including military veterans. I strive to help clients understand their emotional experiences and move toward meaningful, steady progress.
I earned my master's in social work from the University of South Carolina. My clinical background includes extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy and certification in cognitive processing therapy for post-traumatic stress disorder. I also integrate strategies to help clients examine difficult situations and strengthen coping skills.
Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for a new perspective, I am here to help you move forward with clarity and confidence. Together, we can identify unhelpful patterns, build sustainable coping strategies, and support your emotional wellness. I invite you to schedule an appointment—I look forward to working with you.

Marriage counseling, also known as couples therapy and relationship counseling, helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. Thriveworks marriage counseling in Rock Hill, SC is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within Marriage counseling include:
Marriage counseling works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular marriage counseling sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Marriage counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend marriage counseling for 12 weeks. However, marriage counseling may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress. Marriage counselors and therapists at Thriveworks in Rock Hill, SC work with their clients to create goals, decide on ideal timelines, and establish treatment plans.
What makes a great marriage? Some will tell you that honesty and trust are the foundations, or that active listening keeps a couple together. Others say that tolerance and patience are the keys a healthy marriage. But what if you’ve tried to strengthen these skills but just can’t seem to get them right? What if you’ve read self-help books, attended marriage conferences, measured your compatibility scores and you still can’t seem to get this marriage thing down?
If this sounds like you, you’re not alone. It’s likely that there are many reasons not to give up on marriage. Sometimes, you just need one. There is hope for your marriage and you can find the support you need at Thriveworks Marriage Therapy in Rock Hill, SC. (803) 368-6499
If two people are willing, a broken marriage can be repaired. Lying, cheating, financial irresponsibility, and physical and emotional abuse can be overcome. Healing is possible, but it requires time and a commitment from both parties to do the necessary work. Your marriage counselor will help you identify the problems in your relationship that need immediate attention. In time, your marriage counselor will help you and your spouse learn the skills needed to address issues as they happen, rather than ignoring them and hoping that they’ll just go away on their own (which never works).
