About
Growing up in a working-class, single-parent home shaped my empathy, and I bring personal and professional experience to meet each client with authenticity and care.
I am William Watson, a Licensed Social Worker Supervisee with 2 years of experience. Shaped by a working-class, single-parent upbringing, I bring lived experiences and strong clinical training to my work. I support adolescents and adults facing depression, anxiety, ADHD, stress, and life transitions. My goal is to provide steady guidance and practical support as a respectful partner who values honesty, feedback, and collaboration.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Arkansas and blend evidence-informed care with lived experience. My sessions emphasize practical tools, steady structure, and clear goals to help clients build confidence and skills between visits.
I know that starting therapy can feel overwhelming. That’s why I focus on creating a safe, respectful space where you can move at your own pace. If you are looking for practical strategies and a collaborative therapist who meets you where you are, I welcome you to reach out because you don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.

Dee Jacobi-Edwards is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia and a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (LISW-CP) in South Carolina who has helped individuals, couples, and families for over 20 years. Dee works with clients 18 to 99 years old. Her clients have presented with issues including anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and relationship difficulties. Dee has also helped clients who have experienced fear or isolation caused by COVID-19. She understands that grief, loss, and bereavement do not only occur when someone dies, but also when a job is lost, or poor health occurs. Having been a hospice social worker, Dee has also counseled individuals and family members after a loved one has been given a terminal diagnosis.
Dee completed her Master of Science in Social Work (MSSW) at the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Education (MEd) in Rehabilitation Counseling at Springfield College. Utilizing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) techniques, clients develop an understanding of the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and are encouraged to cultivate flexibility in the process, leading to change in automatic problem-solving responses. Other techniques used include mindfulness, cognitive restructuring, and relaxation techniques. Dee is also an ADHD-Certified Clinical Services Provider.
Using a conversational style, Dee collaborates with her clients, whether an individual, a couple, or family members, to identify areas of concern. Together, she and her client analyze what the perceived difficulties are and identify achievable goals. In a supportive and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, Dee encourages open communication to resolve conflicts from misunderstandings.

The number of life coaching sessions someone attends can differ based on the coach and the client’s choices. How many sessions are needed and how often they occur often hinges on the client’s objectives and the complexity of their concerns. Some clients might opt for a few sessions to tackle particular goals or issues, while others may decide on ongoing coaching sessions to work on personal growth and life enhancement over a more extended period of time. Thriveworks McLean therapists work with clients to create goals and potential timelines for treatment.
Abbey has never strayed far from her hometown. In fact, when she graduated from college, she moved into an apartment right down the street from her childhood home. But now, she’s leaving it all behind—everything but the memories—to pursue her dream job in New York City. At first, she’s elated by excitement. Quickly, though, these positive feelings fade as she transitions. She has trouble making friends, fitting in at her new job, and stepping out of her comfort zone to try new activities.
This character, Abbey, is running into challenges that many people are confronted with in their lifetime. Often, we aren’t sure how to meet new people or try new things in an uncomfortable and unfamiliar environment, nor do we feel super confident as the new person in the office. Fortunately, however, there is a service we can utilize to confront these (and other) challenges and become our very best person: life coaching. Life coaches help their clients with various challenges and ultimately help them thrive in life. If you think you could benefit from working with a life coach, reach out to Thriveworks McLean.
Have you ever felt “stuck” in life? Like you’ve been running through the motions, but you aren’t making any real progress? This is where life coaching comes in. Life coaches can give you that push in the right direction. They can assist you in determining what’s holding you back. They can motivate you to set bigger goals. They can help you make tough decisions, say between this or that job.
Life coaching is designed to help individuals achieve greater happiness and success in life. Life coaches see many different clients, including: recent grads who aren’t sure what’s next, CEOs who need to find greater fulfillment in their career, and even older retired folks who are looking for meaning in life again. Needs and goals in life coaching vary for each client. Whatever the situation, a life coach can help.
Here at Thriveworks, we believe that everyone can benefit from working with a skilled mental health professional. If you’re facing challenges that stand in your way of happiness or success, a life coach will likely benefit you. They will customize your life coaching sessions based on your unique situation, experiences, needs, and goals. That said, many find the same benefits in working with a life coach. Here’s how a life coach can change your life:
In summary, if you choose to work with a life coach, you’re investing in a happy, successful life. The life coaches at Thriveworks Mclean have the necessary skills, experience, and care to help you reach your goals and make important decisions that will mold the course of your life from here on out.
As we touched on briefly above, life coaching is tailored to best help each client. However, a life coach’s main mission is to aid their client’s efforts in furthering their success or happiness. These efforts might be related to personal or professional goals. Some examples include:
Life coaches pull from a variety of techniques to help their clients push their self-perceived boundaries, take important strides toward great accomplishments, and ultimately become their very best selves.
