As an immigrant woman of color, I personally understand the profound challenges of navigating life’s obstacles, especially when it feels like you’re facing them alone, without support, or disconnected from others. I’m deeply committed to helping others find connection, strength, and a sense of belonging during those difficult times.
I have successfully worked with individuals and groups by drawing on my bilingual and bicultural background.
I like to conduct my therapy in a relaxed environment, and while I am passionate and serious about the work being done in session, I want my clients to feel at ease and comfortable with the therapeutic process.
My experiences in life, both professional and personal, have helped me realize how difficult it is to get through struggles alone. As a Latina woman who grew up in poverty, I have an understanding of life's struggles and how they can shape us.
As a person who has experienced many of life’s ups and downs, I have a unique understanding of the skills necessary to navigate challenges and ways to cope with the emotions that accompany those journeys.
As a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic trauma-trained clinician, I understand challenges related to career, relationships, anxiety, discrimination, academics, intimidation, and boundary-setting.
