I believe therapy works best when people feel genuinely seen, so I bring warmth, honesty, and real-world compassion into the room while helping clients navigate anxiety, relationships, selfworth, and life transitions.
Hi, I'm Bianca Johnson, LCPC, a licensed therapist with experience supporting individuals, couples, and adolescents through anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, relationship concerns, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I work with clients who are often seeking deeper self-understanding, healthier coping skills, stronger communication, and more balance in their daily lives. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
I use a collaborative, compassionate approach that blends CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and practical coping strategies to help clients build self-awareness, improve communication, manage emotions, and navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Clients can expect a supportive space that encourages growth, accountability, and lasting change.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate things alone. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to grow at their own pace. If you're ready to begin your healing journey, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with 14 years of experience helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I create a supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to explore the patterns that shape their experiences. My approach is collaborative and compassionate, focusing on helping clients uncover their strengths and move toward greater emotional balance and fulfillment.
I earned a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Loyola University. Depending on client needs, I integrate an eclectic blend of emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and intensive short-term dynamic psychotherapy. These approaches are especially effective for clients managing moderate to severe anxiety and depression.
My goal is to help clients recognize and shift automatic responses that cause stress, turning these insights into meaningful growth. By sharing practical coping skills and fostering awareness of mind, body, and spirit, I guide clients toward resilience, self-compassion, and lasting happiness.

I view individual therapy for anxiety as a confidential safe space to explore oneself from a lens of validation and empathy to lead to organic problem-solving in areas that are no longer healthy for our development as whole human beings.
I believe that self-awareness is our biggest skill, and effective communication is our biggest tool. I focus on building self-esteem and self-confidence through empowerment, boundary-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
The way I evaluate meaningful progress from a client is when they tell me this work is hard. Nothing worth doing comes easy or is changed in a few sessions. Our brains are lazy…working with a client through changing habits and thought processes takes time, exploration, and practice without judgment.
My therapy sessions always end with homework, whether it's literal homework in terms of behavioral charts for example, or creative arts, or more existentially around thinking through concerts in between sessions. Therapeutic work, in my opinion, does not happen exclusively in the sessions, it happens outside of sessions. The therapeutic setting is meant to explore concepts on a deeper level to then make the next step of practicing those skills and concepts in between sessions.
Making the initial step to set up the session is the most important and most empowering/strength-based thing someone can do, albeit a scary one! To prepare for that first intake, remember, you're a rock star already.
