About
I know how important it is to feel truly seen and supported, and I'd be honored to walk with you as you work toward healing, growth, and greater peace of mind, body, and spirit.
I am a Mental Health Counselor seeking licensure with 1 year of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life transitions, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, ADHD, and relationship or parenting challenges. I specialize in strengths-based therapy to help enhance self-esteem, explore personal values, and promote emotional healing. My goal is to help clients recognize triggers, develop healthy coping skills, and improve overall functioning.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Tulane University. I use the Gottman Method, dialectical behavior therapy, and emotionally focused therapy to support emotional healing, improve communication, and foster meaningful connections.
I offer a warm, judgment-free space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. I understand how overwhelming it can be to seek help and invite those facing personal or relationship challenges to take the first step toward growth, healing, and connection.

My go-to approach for helping people in grief and loss counseling is helping clients come to terms and process the loss in the particular manner that is unique to them. I find this to be helpful since everyone grieves differently.
I help people come to terms with the loss, deal with the feelings associated with it, and eventually come to terms/achieve closure.
I know when the client is making meaningful progress when they are not experiencing/interacting with the world through the lens of grief.
Clients can supplement their time in grief & loss counseling with group therapy.
To prepare for their first grief & loss counseling session and individual can simply come as they are!

Grief is our response to the loss of someone or something important. There are different types of grief, including normal grief and complicated grief. Normal grief comes with many different emotions, like sadness, anger, fear, even confusion, as well as an inability to carry on with one’s normal day to day. The good news is, with the proper support, someone with normal grief can get back to their happy, healthy self over a relatively short period of time. Complicated grief, on the other hand, is a little more involved. Those who experience complicated grief enter a really difficult mental and emotional space. They feel distressed and can become depressed for an extended period of time after their loss. And often, they need help properly processing this loss so they can move forward with their lives.
You might have complicated grief and could benefit from grief counseling if you exhibit the following symptoms for at least six months (or longer):
Complicated grief can manifest in an individual in different ways. If you’re experiencing the above symptoms after a heartbreaking loss, consider working with a grief counselor. We want to help you process your loss and the difficult emotions that come with it.
