About
As someone who understands how it feels to be overwhelmed, stuck, or not like yourself, I know the struggle of trying to navigate that journey alone, and the relief that can come from having someone to talk to.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 8 years of experience supporting clients navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I am passionate about helping individuals move toward healthier emotional patterns, stronger self-awareness, and more meaningful well-being. I work with children, adolescents, and adults and specialize in helping clients manage persistent anxiety and challenging emotional symptoms.
I earned my master’s degree in human services counseling from Liberty University. My approach integrates cognitive behavioral therapy with psychodynamic principles to support both practical skill building and deeper insight. This balanced foundation helps clients understand the roots of their challenges while learning tools to shift unhelpful thoughts and behaviors.
I know reaching out can feel overwhelming, and I honor the strength it takes to begin this process. I aim to create a safe, grounded space where you feel heard and supported as we work through your concerns together. I look forward to meeting you, listening to what you need, and helping you take meaningful steps toward relief and lasting change.

My go-to approach for helping people in teen counseling is creating a safe and confidential place for them to come and work. I allow teens to decide what they feel is a goal that they want to accomplish in therapy. As a teen therapist, if I do not get their buy-in, they will not be open and honest in the therapy process.
I teach:
I know a teen is making meaningful progress in counseling when they come into therapy and are ready to work and have meaningful discussions.
Clients can supplement their time in teen counseling by being involved in peer activities, social events, or school events. Teens are engaging in things that make them feel fulfilled and happy.
The first session of therapy focuses more on gathering information and getting to know one another. We ask questions regarding your mental and physical health, as well as about your family and friends. There is no need to prepare for a first session. Be open to a new experience and know that it is okay to come in as you are.

Children can encounter many challenging situations, whether it is being the victim of bullying, not being able to keep up with lessons at school, or feeling stressed about taking tests and quizzes. Teenagers deal with a ton of feelings and emotions, and there are many demands to make friends, do well at school, make their parents happy and be content with themselves. With such a tall order to fill, many teenagers attempt to achieve all of these things but find themselves wrought with sadness, despondency, irritability, guilt and hopelessness. For some teens, this phase ends quickly. For many others, it can last weeks or months. It is not uncommon to go through phases of feeling irritable, frustrated, and useless as a teen. In addition, being sad some of the time is natural. However, if these feelings persist for a period of weeks or months, it may be depression.
