About
I help clients rediscover the hope and power of choice that once guided me out of the fog of a dysfunctional upbringing and into a life of healing, growth, and purposeful change.
I have more than eight years of experience providing individual, couple, and family therapy in English and Spanish. I specialize in addiction, ADHD, anger management, anxiety, codependency, depression, domestic violence, grief, life transitions, parenting, trauma, PTSD, women's issues, and more. My own journey began with the belief that hope is not an end but a beginning. Growing up in a dysfunctional home taught me the power of choice, and I pursued the hard work to transform my life. That road helped me uncover solutions hidden behind the fog of despair, and it shaped my deep commitment to guiding others through their own healing.
I typically work with clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or weighed down by past experiences—individuals and families seeking clarity, healthier relationships, emotional stability, or purpose. Many come to me wanting to break generational patterns, navigate life transitions, overcome trauma, or find a safe space where they can be heard and supported.
I want you to know that you don't have to navigate your struggles alone—your story matters, your healing matters, and hope is absolutely within reach. If you feel ready to take the next step toward growth, clarity, and meaningful change, I would be honored to walk alongside you. I invite you to schedule a session whenever you're ready.

As a culturally diverse woman, I bring a deep understanding of identity exploration shaped by multicultural and intersectional experiences. Having personally navigated loss, transitions, and life challenges, I offer an authentic perspective on how these experiences affect the mind, body, and spirit. I believe in the power of building new life skills to restore and strengthen the whole self.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience providing compassionate care across diverse behavioral health settings. My background includes hospice and grief counseling, supporting adults and families through life’s most vulnerable transitions. I bring a culturally sensitive, intersectional approach to therapy, especially for those navigating identity, loss, or major life changes. My goal is to help clients gain clarity, emotional relief, and confidence as they work toward healing and transformation.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Social Work from the University of Central Florida, where I also completed minors in Gerontology and Sociology. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and mindfulness-based therapy to create individualized, evidence-based care.
I meet clients where they are with compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Whether coping with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, or self-esteem challenges, my approach is restorative and empowering. Therapy doesn’t have to feel intimidating; it can be transformative, helping you reconnect with your purpose and inner resilience.
You deserve dedicated time with a mental health professional — it can be life-changing.

Grief and loss counseling helps people grieve difficult losses including the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, or the end of a relationship. It helps people navigate their grief process and eventually accept, understand, and move forward from their loss. Thriveworks grief therapists in Arlington, TX have specific experience, training, and skills that enable them to best support grieving individuals.
Grief and loss counseling isn’t one-size-fits-all, but it involves sharing about your loss and then working with your counselor to acknowledge and accept your new reality in its wake. Your provider at Thriveworks in Arlington, TX will design your treatment plan around your unique needs and goals for therapy, applying the counseling techniques that best support them.
If you have recently experienced an event like the death of a loved one, a breakup or divorce, the loss of a job, or another major life change, then you may want to seek grief and loss counseling. Grief can be caused by many experiences and events, so if you feel that you are having trouble moving on from a certain event or find that it is still impacting your life and functioning, grief and loss counseling can help you process it more effectively so that you can move on and once again find fulfillment and satisfaction in your life.
There are many counseling theories for treating grief, one of the most frequently used being the dual process model of grief which helps people acknowledge who or what they’ve lost through rumination while also adjusting to the new roles and identities that this loss has now placed on them. There are also many commonly used therapy approaches used in grief and loss counseling, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and traumatic grief therapy.
Grief & loss counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
For many, grief and loss counseling lasts for about 6 months. For others, it may last shorter or longer, depending on the severity of their loss and their grief.
