About
I believe everyone deserves to feel heard and respected. My counseling approach focuses on helping people achieve their goals, navigate challenging times, and develop confidence in their coping skills.
I am a licensed professional counselor and mental health service provider (LPC-MHSP) with 8 years of experience helping individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. I work with adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and addiction, and I have extensive experience supporting clients with a wide range of needs in community mental health settings.
I earned my doctorate in counselor education and supervision from Lindsey Wilson College, following completion of my master’s degree in counseling. I am trained in trauma-specific approaches, including EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotion-focused therapy, and I work with both individuals and couples.
My goal is to create a safe, trusting space where you feel supported in being open about both the challenges and strengths in your life and relationships. Together, we will identify what you need to heal, grow, and move forward. If you are ready to begin or continue your healing journey, I invite you to schedule an appointment.

I welcome people from all walks of life, and want you to know you will be supported, cared for, and hopefully experience the growth you’d like to see in yourself.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee with 30 years of professional experience. I specialize in helping individuals and couples manage stress, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, motivation, self-esteem, confidence, and addictions. I create a safe, open, and supportive environment where clients can share without fear of judgment. Taking the first step into therapy can feel overwhelming, but I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, encouragement, and respect for your unique journey.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from West Virginia University. My approach integrates evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing, solution-focused therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I understand that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but I strive to make the process welcoming and supportive. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel heard and valued while building skills to support your growth. Together, we will work toward healing, resilience, and greater confidence in your everyday life.

At Thriveworks, Couples/marriage therapy is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples.
The Gottman Method of couples therapy is a research-supported approach designed to enhance relationships by bolstering the bond between partners, resolving conflicts, and fostering shared meaning in their relationship through comprehensive assessments and tailored interventions that improve communication, trust, and the overall health of the partnership.
If you’re facing persistent relationship problems, communication breakdowns, or unresolved conflicts that are impacting your emotional well-being and happiness, Couples/marriage therapy may be beneficial for you.
While marriage and couple’s counseling is typically recommended for couples who are experiencing persistent or severe relationship issues, any relationship can benefit from attending these sessions.
Marriage and couples counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend marriage and couples counseling for 12 weeks. However, couples & marriage counseling may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay.
