About
I use a person-centered approach that helps individuals develop practical skills, build resilience, and create meaningful change.
I am a licensed professional counselor with 5 years of experience supporting people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I help clients who feel stuck, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward regain clarity and confidence. I use a warm, collaborative approach and evidence-based methods to support healing, self-discovery, and meaningful change. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, understood, and empowered.
I hold a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from Liberty University. My approach blends cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and solution-focused strategies to help clients build insight, develop new skills, and move toward emotional balance.
I welcome clients with compassion, curiosity, and respect. I want you to feel truly seen and heard, and to know that your feelings and experiences matter. We will move at a pace that feels right for you. If you are ready to begin, I invite you to reach out so we can take the first step together. You do not have to do this alone.

OCD counseling is a specialized therapeutic approach aimed at supporting individuals coping with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The goal of this counseling is to help clients manage and alleviate the distressing symptoms of OCD by systematically addressing their obsessive thought patterns and compulsive behaviors.
In OCD counseling, Thriveworks Roanoke therapists use cognitive behavioral techniques, including exposure and response prevention, to assist you in addressing and managing your obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. An OCD therapist will collaborate with you to identify and modify irrational thought patterns while gradually and gently exposing you to anxiety-triggering situations, helping to disrupt the cycle of obsessive-compulsive rituals and promote healthier coping strategies.
Thriveworks OCD counseling in Roanoke, VA is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The number of sessions for OCD counseling is variable, contingent upon the individual’s unique needs, the severity of their condition, and their progress during treatment. Typically, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), commonly used for OCD, comprises around 12 to 16 weekly sessions, but the exact session count can be customized based on the individual’s response to treatment and therapeutic objectives. Some opt for a more extended duration to comprehensively manage symptoms and address complex issues.
