About
I believe in the power of connecting with individuals at a deeper, meaningful level. Life can unexpectedly pose challenges, where it can be incredibly difficult to navigate. My goal is to uplift individuals during distressing times, all while instilling hope, optimism, and resiliency.
Hello! My name is Natalie Zolnierzak, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in South Carolina. I earned my Master of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. My career began in a school-based milieu, providing skill-based interventions for student crisis and emotional dysregulation, then moved into specialized mental health care for suicidal adolescents in partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. Most recently, I supported individuals with End Stage Renal Disease, providing psychosocial support, advocacy, and strengths-based care for their emotional, social, and medical challenges.
In our sessions, we will explore connections between behaviors, feelings, and thoughts. I believe past experiences shape who we are through unconscious drives and early experiences. "Connecting the dots" is crucial to self-awareness and creating meaningful change. I incorporate Psychodynamic, CBT, Strengths-Based, DBT, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy.
I admire individuals who bring their personal history, unique worldview, and own values to therapy. As your therapist, I see it as essential to embrace these aspects of you to help you on the path to change. My aim is to empower you to better understand your genuine self and to help you evolve by building healthier insight into your desires and goals.

As a woman of color, I understand the stigma and generational pressure to keep mental health struggles private, and my goal is to help you feel supported, understood, and empowered to heal openly and at your own pace.
I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP) with 3 years of experience providing evidence-based, person-centered care. I work with adults and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma-related concerns, and life transitions. I partner with clients to thoughtfully integrate medication management with education and collaborative support to promote emotional stability and meaningful progress.
I earned my Doctor of Nursing Practice from Clemson University. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, individualized treatment planning, and medication education with a focus on safety, transparency, and shared decision-making.

My go-to approach for treating depression is utilizing a mix of CBT and values-based therapy. I feel this approach is beneficial in helping those with depression because it helps individuals evaluate their goals and current thought processes to determine where they need to make changes in order to live a more fulfilled life.
I teach the following tools in depression counseling: cognitive reframing/restructuring, how to identify the signs and symptoms of depression, and how to create your own inventory of hobbies/activities that bring you joy.
I know a client is making meaningful progress in depression counseling when they report an improvement in mood and overall seem more excited and hopeful about things.
Clients can supplement their time in depression counseling by doing activities they love and enjoy, maybe even picking up an old hobby they used to love!
To prepare for your first depression counseling session, you can think about when you first noticed depression becoming an issue for you, reflect on whether or not you've noticed any triggers that cause these episodes, and tell yourself that you are not alone in your journey.
