As a woman of color who has experienced trauma, I deeply understand how life can sometimes hand you situations that feel overwhelming and hard to navigate, and I will walk this journey with you.
I am a licensed professional counselor associate (LPCA) with 7 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through emotional and relational challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, relationship concerns, communication difficulties, eating disorders, and life stressors. I am passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, gain new perspectives, and feel more empowered in their daily lives.
I earned my master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from Abilene Christian University. My therapeutic approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, solution-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and motivational interviewing to help clients build practical tools for lasting change.

I think a great approach for child therapy is play therapy. This gives the child an opportunity to express themselves via play, as they are still learning language and comprehension skills depending on their age.
One tool that could be taught in child therapy is emotional regulation. This could look like assigning emotions to toy objects in play therapy and processing those emotions with them.
I think one could tell that a child is making good progress in child therapy when the child becomes comfortable enough to open up with the therapist and the flow of therapy becomes smoother versus spending the majority of sessions making the client feel comfortable opening up.
Parents can supplement their child's time in child therapy by reading books with their child, paying attention to their child when they play, and educating themselves on play therapy skills/techniques they can apply at home and share findings with their child's therapist.

For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state.
