About
Change can be difficult for anybody, but with the right guidance, it is entirely possible to reach your desired outcome.
Joseph Garza is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who has over 13 years of experience. He enjoys working with clients of all ages, and especially loves when a client is open to change. Joseph has worked with various mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, and many more. He has experience working with couples and families as well.
Joseph completed his Master's degree in Counseling at Dallas Baptist University. He has biblical counseling as a foundation, as well, if needed by his clients. This can add an additional resource and support for his clients, too. Joseph is certified in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and uses this along with exposure therapy to work with clients struggling with anxiety and other disorders.
As stated previously, change can be difficult but with the right experience, wisdom, and guidance, change does not have to be avoided. Joseph understands this and has a heart for people to grow and to have a healthy perspective on themselves and others. If you are ready to begin this journey, please reach out to schedule with Joseph, so that your shared journey can begin.

One of our go-to approaches for helping people in couples therapy is to meet with each client individually and together to assess each client's perspective on the issue they are in therapy for.
Effective communication skills and coping skills are tools that are taught in marriage counseling.
Clients show meaningful progress in therapy by being able to identify improvement in their communication skills and relate to each other in a more positive way.
Clients can read the homework that's assigned and listen to podcasts about improving relationships.
Clients should come prepared to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly. They should be prepared to share their most intimate details, though it won't be all at once.
