About
As someone who grew up in the field of mental health, I have come to appreciate the therapeutic value of allowing others to express themselves without reservation as well as affording them the respect and dignity they duly deserve.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with over 24 years of experience, and I’m passionate about helping adults and children navigate life’s challenges. My work spans anxiety, depression, trauma, divorce, grief, and relationship issues, among others. I often describe therapy using a “puzzle” analogy: you dump the pieces out, we work together to find the edges, and eventually, we begin to see how the full picture comes together to form understanding and healing.
I earned my master’s in counseling psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. My approach focuses on helping clients find relief through honest self-expression while uncovering the deeper patterns behind their experiences. Together, we cultivate awareness and resilience in the face of life’s inevitable challenges.
Life’s problems don’t have to be faced alone. Therapy with me offers a safe, flexible space to talk, unwind, and explore what matters most to you. I hope that each session leaves you feeling more grounded, insightful, and ready to move forward with a clearer sense of peace and purpose. Let’s begin this journey toward healing together.

I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) with 6 years of experience helping individuals navigate emotional and life challenges. I provide a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where we work together to build trust, foster emotional regulation, and explore new ways to approach life’s transitions. I specialize in supporting clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, postpartum challenges, and low self-esteem, guiding them toward greater self-acceptance, empowerment, and lasting growth.
I earned my master’s in social work from Jackson State University, where I developed a deep understanding of human behavior and the power of evidence-based interventions.
My approach integrates CBT techniques that promote emotional regulation, acceptance, and empowerment, allowing clients to take courageous steps toward meaningful personal growth.
I understand that seeking support takes strength, and I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion and respect. Whether you’re coping with stress, healing from trauma, or navigating a major life transition, we’ll work to uncover your strengths and build confidence for lasting change. Psychologists are mental health professionals that provide psychotherapy services and diagnoses for their clients. They have more research-focused training than most therapists, as they are more medically educated and receive a more general education about therapeutic approaches and theory.
Thriveworks psychologists in Hattiesburg, MS provide standard psychotherapy services, tailoring treatment to each client and their unique concerns. However, they can also provide diagnoses to clients when appropriate, something that therapists and counselors cannot do. Finally, in some states in the U.S., they are allowed to prescribe medication.
Psychological treatment at Thriveworks Hattiesburg is very individualized and specific to each client, which means that the duration of treatment is often varied depending on a client’s condition or disorder, the state of their symptoms, and their specific goals.

Psychologists are mental health professionals who diagnose and treat emotional and psychological concerns. You can expect a licensed psychologist to ask questions about your life, including past trauma and your daily emotional state. These questions will allow them to identify pressing issues, offer individualized coping techniques, and diagnose mental illness.
