I believe healing begins with being truly seen and heard, so I create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their stories, rediscover their strength, and grow toward lasting change.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 6 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through seasons of change, healing, and growth. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and life transitions, helping them build insight, strengthen communication, and develop healthier connections with themselves and others. My clients often come to therapy seeking peace, balance, and the confidence to live more authentically as we work toward meaningful, lasting change together.
I earned my master’s in secondary education and clinical mental health counseling from Alcorn State University. My approach is collaborative and grounded in empathy, using cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques to help clients identify unhelpful patterns, build emotional awareness, and foster sustainable growth.
I understand that reaching out for support takes courage, and I want my clients to know they don’t have to walk this journey alone. My go-to approach for individual therapy is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I find the best benefit in CBT because it quickly resolves negative thoughts that are often the primary cause of anxiety and depression. It is also easily intertwined into other therapy models as needed.

I know a client is making meaningful progress in individual therapy when I ask the client about his/her own perceptions of progress. A therapist can sometimes see changes, but if the client isn't aware of these, that isn't real progress.
Clients can supplement their time in individual therapy with additional exercises such as homework assigned by the therapist, practicing mindfulness, maintaining a gratitude journal, practicing mindfulness meditation and breathing, exercising, and maintaining healthy eating and sleep habits.

Individual therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and via Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The duration of your individual therapy sessions will vary. The decision on the number and frequency of sessions is typically collaboratively determined by the client and therapist.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state.
