I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 16 years of experience providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I support clients navigating depression, anxiety, mood concerns, substance use, relationship challenges, and family dynamics. My work spans community mental health, residential treatment, and private practice, allowing me to serve individuals from diverse backgrounds with compassion and respect.
I earned my master’s degree in professional counseling from Argosy University. My approach is holistic and strengths-based, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. A common go-to approach for helping teens in counseling can include DBT, CBT, family therapy and sometimes interpersonal therapy. A preference is CBT therapy to see the benefit of how actions can be determined through thoughts and feelings and to connect them together for greater success in relationships and performance settings.
Common tools used in teen therapy is to include social interactions, self identity, replacing negative thoughts, identifying healthy responses to difficult situations, communication styles with peers and others, and reducing fears of unknown outcomes.
