About
As a marriage and family therapist coming from a large blended family, I understand the ins and outs of relationships and how they can impact our lives. I have worked with many different individuals and have helped them navigate some of the good, bad, and ugly.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with 16 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families. I help clients navigate relationship concerns, family conflict, parenting challenges, and LGBTQ+–related issues. I strive to create a warm, open, and safe therapeutic space where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek support, and I am here to walk with you as you pursue meaningful change.
I completed my doctoral degree in counseling with a focus on marital, couple, and family therapy at Barry University. My approach is strength-based and tailored to meet you where you are—whether processing the past or navigating the present. I integrate the Gottman method and other evidence-based techniques to simplify challenges and support healing.
Congratulations on taking this step toward becoming the best version of yourself. Therapy is an investment in brighter days ahead, and I look forward to partnering with you as you strengthen insight, build new skills, and move toward the life you want. I am honored to support you and hope to meet you soon

My go-to approaches for helping people in individual therapy are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, solution-focused therapy, and narrative therapy.

Determining meaningful progress in individual therapy can be complex and depends on various factors, including the client's presenting issues, goals, and the therapeutic approach used. Here are some indicators that a client may be making meaningful progress in therapy:
Clients can supplement their time with mindfulness-based approaches. Mindfulness helps clients cultivate present-moment awareness, acceptance, and psychological flexibility to cope with distress.
You can:
Individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, allows people to engage in private sessions with a skilled therapist, counselor, or psychologist. The core objective of individual therapy is to establish a secure and confidential setting where you can openly discuss whatever emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges you face. Through these one-on-one sessions, the client and therapist work together to delve into, comprehend, and ultimately find solutions for the issues at hand in their life.
Individual therapy unfolds in a structured process, commencing with an initial assessment in which the therapist gathers essential information about your history, concerns, and objectives. Together, you and your therapist collaboratively establish specific, attainable goals for your sessions, which can encompass symptom alleviation, personal development, or finding solutions to particular challenges.
Yes, individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, at Thriveworks can help you to improve your mental health and overall quality of life.
