About
I have extensive training in techniques focused on creating neural pathways in the brain, incorporating mindful techniques tailored to you and your healing.
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Texas and Kansas. I specialize in working with adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety/depressive disorders, PTSD/trauma, and grief/loss. I also work with couples to repair and build connections, creating a healthy partnership. I believe relationships are the foundation necessary for healing and provide safe connections with clients. I am passionate about this work because I find joy in helping others grow and strengthen themselves.
I have extensive training in neuropsychology and trauma-informed practices, and understand how life events impact growth and development. I take a whole-person approach, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of each client. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and psychoeducation to enhance growth and understanding.
My clients guide the therapeutic process and feel empowered to make the choices they feel best meet their needs. Together, we will focus on developing skills to create your optimal life experience. Reach out today; I am here to work with you.

I hold a special place in my heart for children and adolescents navigating day-to-day life challenges, and I am honored to walk alongside them as they learn to thrive.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 3 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults through life transitions, emotional challenges, and unexpected stressors. I specialize in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, impulsivity, self-esteem concerns, and sexuality- and gender-related issues. I believe each client is the expert of their own life and work to empower individuals to build confidence, balance, and emotional well-being.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Sam Houston State University. My background includes work in educational and clinical settings, which allows me to bring a developmentally informed and collaborative approach to care. I use integrative, experiential techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs.
I recognize the courage it takes to explore your emotional world. In our work together, I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and encouraged as you move toward healing, growth, and greater resilience. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

Anxiety therapy helps people better understand and manage their anxiety. Anxiety therapists at Thriveworks in College Station, TX can develop a treatment plan that will help you better manage your day-to-day anxiety or your anxiety disorder.
Anxiety therapy involves talking to a therapist about symptoms, potential causes, and more. Thriveworks College Station therapists will then work with you to determine where your anxiety might stem from and teach you effective coping mechanisms.
One of the best ways to deal with anxiety is to learn about your own anxiety: your symptoms, what triggers it, and what coping mechanisms have been effective in the past. When you learn what your anxiety is tied to, it can help you be mindful of what’s really happening as well as prevent and mitigate symptoms by processing and working through the issue in therapy. Other strategies that have been shown to help manage anxiety are meditation, challenging anxious thoughts, exercising, and journaling.
Common symptoms of anxiety include:
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) can be incredibly effective in treating anxiety and anxiety disorders. Other effective techniques include exposure therapy, Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and EMDR therapy.
Anxiety therapy is conducted both in person and online, depending on the individual’s preferences and their therapist’s availability. We suggest choosing the option that best suits your needs.
On average, people can tend to attend 15 to 20 session of anxiety therapy (five or more months). However, this number is heavily dependent on the type of anxiety that’s being treated and its severity, with many choosing to attend anxiety therapy for a longer period of time to ensure its effectiveness long-term.
Yes, it is worth going to therapy for anxiety. If you are struggling with regular anxious thoughts and feelings that are affecting your day-to-day life or you suspect that you have an anxiety disorder, you should seek expert anxiety help.
Before you start to diagnose yourself with anxiety, keep in mind that the only people qualified to do that are licensed mental health professionals—like our team in College Station, TX. They can help determine what your mental issues are, and partner with you to create a personalized treatment plan. Still, even if you haven’t seen a provider yet, it is important to be able to recognize common signs or symptoms of anxiety if you’re feeling them. These include, but aren’t limited to:
Don’t be concerned if something that’s troubling you isn’t listed above; these are just a few of the many different issues that might manifest when someone develops anxiety. Another common source of concern for those seeking mental health services is that they might feel reservations about opening up to a professional about their personal lives, thoughts, and worries. It makes sense to feel nervous about talking with someone about these issues for the first time. However, the mental health professionals at Thriveworks in College Station, TX are here to help, not judge; they’ll use your feedback to help you manage and mitigate the symptoms of your anxiety.
