I am a licensed mental health counselor (MH 5517) with over 30 years of experience. At age 40, I recognized my true calling in life. With three children at home, and working full-time with retail, I returned back to school to obtain my Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 1996. Three years later, I received my licensure. I have worked with several programs affiliated with the Florida Department of Children & Families and with the children who experienced abuse and/or neglect. With this experience I was able to understand the impact of trauma on my clients.

I have taught classes in MAPP (Model Approach to Partnership in Parenting), ACT (Adoption Competency Training) & in PIP (Partnership In Parenting). I've taught classes associated with the Human Rights Campaign regarding LGBTQ issues.
