About
I know how heavy life can feel, and through my personal experiences with loss and anxiety and my professional work supporting others, I’ve learned that healing, growth, and empowerment are possible.
I love helping all people navigate anxiety and the ups and downs of everyday life—because let's be honest, it can get a little chaotic. I aim to create a space that feels supportive, nonjudgmental, and real, where you can be yourself. Along the way, I'll help you gain insight, build tools, and maybe even share a few laughs as you grow into the version of yourself you're working toward.
My approach is warm, person-centered, and empathetic. I use trauma-focused care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and solution-focused techniques to help clients understand themselves and build healthier ways of coping. I especially enjoy supporting individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, and trauma.
No matter where you are in your journey, you don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Healing, growth, and change are possible. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful transformation. When you're ready, I would be honored to support you as you move toward healing and personal growth.

My approach for helping people in couples/marriage counseling is not to think of the relationship as a separate entity that clients are trying to “protect.”
The tools that I teach in couples/marriage counseling are giving each other affirmation, positive communication, and how to have a healthy argument.
I know that a couple is making progress through how they interact with each other during a session, such as where they sit and who they are talking to during the session.
Couples can supplement their time in couples/marriage counseling by taking the time to have structured dialogue on a daily basis.
In order to prepare for their first session of couples/marriage counseling, clients need to identify what they would like to see different about their relationship and how they can actively make that change.
Marriage counseling, also known as couples therapy and relationship counseling, helps couples work through their specific relationship issues. Thriveworks marriage counseling in Bastrop, TX is led by licensed professionals — often licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs) — who are experts in their field and best-equipped to help couples. Some examples of common focuses within Marriage counseling include:
Marriage counseling works by helping couples identify and better navigate their unique challenges. Following an initial assessment of the couple in terms of strengths and needs, the therapist would then discuss their therapeutic goals and any possible approaches or ways of working together as therapist and couple.Couples attend sessions together, whether they meet in person or by video. In addition to regular marriage counseling sessions, each partner may also be asked to attend a few individual sessions to supplement their progress. This will allow their counselor to get to know each individual better, assess each of their personal needs, and develop the very best treatment plan moving forward.
Marriage counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you and your partner.
On average, couples attend marriage counseling for 12 weeks. However, marriage counseling may last longer or shorter, dependent on the couples’ needs, the challenges they’d like to work through, and the pace of their progress. Marriage counselors and therapists at Thriveworks in Bastrop, TX work with their clients to create goals, decide on ideal timelines, and establish treatment plans.
Before you get married, you’re both excited about the idea of til-death-do-us-part. They call it the “honeymoon phase,” where you’re completely crazy about each other and spend as much time one-on-one as you possibly can. It’s wonderful.
At some point, you start to spend more and more time apart. You get on each others’ nerves. You nitpick. You argue. You shout and slam doors. You spend a night (or several) on the couch. You resent one another. The person you once loved more than any other human being in the world has become the person you least want to be around.
If you can relate to this, reach out to Thriveworks Bastrop for help. We have compassionate marriage counselors who are here to support you and help you get your marriage back on track.
Unhappiness in a marriage can come from many places. Some common sources of distress in a marriage that might cause you to seek marriage help include:
Divorce is becoming all to common place. For some people it’s the way out of a legitimately awful situation, and in others it’s an expensive way of not dealing with your problems and simply carrying them with you to your next relationship.
Regardless of how long you two have been arguing or somehow distancing yourselves from one another — recognize that there is a problem, and then decide that fixing an issue is so much less painful than letting it fester and grow. Do you want things to stay the way they are (if not worsen), or do you want your relationship to continually become more and more satisfying?
Being honest with yourselves about the fact that you need outside help to resolve your issues is not a sign of weakness. It’s a sign of good judgement. It’s a sign that you still love one another and want a more fulfilling life together. Contact us today if you want to improve your relationship. Our counselors are highly qualified professionals who have helped many couples overcome their marital problems.
