About
As a clinical social worker, it's important to me to meet my clients where they're at and offer a warm, empathetic approach to therapy.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 8 years of experience helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with compassion and authenticity. I’ve supported teens, college students, and adults through stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and major life transitions. I believe therapy doesn’t have to feel formal or intimidating, and sometimes humor and real conversation can make the healing process feel more human and relatable.
I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina. My approach is collaborative and practical, integrating evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy to fit each client’s unique needs and personality.
I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to create meaningful change at your pace and in your style. Taking the first step can feel nerve-wracking, but I aim to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where growth and progress naturally unfold.

Phobia therapy is a type of therapy that treats anxiety and other symptoms caused by specific phobias, an anxiety disorder that involves intense fear of certain places, situations, or things. When performing phobia therapy, Thriveworks Wilmington therapists work to help people change their perspectives on feared stimuli and live their lives without being inhibited by that fear.
Phobia therapy will most often involve the use of exposure therapy, a therapeutic technique that gradually exposes clients to the subject of their fear in controlled spaces, helping them to see that the consequence they fear is not occurring. This helps them slowly learn to break the association of fear with the feared stimulus and allows them to live their life without having to avoid their fear. Other approaches like CBT may be used to help clients adjust their thoughts and behaviors and establish helpful coping techniques.
Phobia therapy at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and through Online therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Treatment for specific phobias can take just a month or last for over a year, depending on an individual’s phobia(s) and levels of anxiety. For those with a single phobia, treatment can tend to take less time, while multiple phobias might take longer to treat, as phobias will be treated one-at-a-time.
