About
As a therapist, I believe building a strong therapeutic alliance is key to progress.
Jaceline Celestin is a Licensed Master Family Therapist (LMFT) who specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples who are working through relationship issues, divorce, dating, parenting challenges, trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, ADHD, trauma, grief, and LGBTQ+ issues.
Jaceline hopes to provide a therapeutic space where individuals, couples, families, or groups feel empowered to make changes in their lives and relationships. In order to help clients reach their therapeutic goals, she utilizes methods including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), while placing an emphasis on solutions-focused approaches, as well. Jaceline is also trained in mind-body medicine techniques, such as deep breathing, art therapies, and meditation.
Jaceline knows that it takes courage to acknowledge that certain behaviors or ideas no longer benefit us or our relationships. As a counselor, she'll help you see that the silver lining is that we have the power to change our lives. She believes that the past does shape us—but the road to our future can take us wherever we want. Therapy is about empowerment and growth without judgment or labels. Jaceline is excited to hear your story and is equally excited to help you reach your therapeutic goals. As a therapist, she believes that building a strong client-counselor alliance is key to progress, and will help create an individualized treatment plan that suits your needs.

As a Registered Nurse and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I recognize how stress, anxiety and depression can be affected by an acute or chronic illness.
I’m an RN and LCSW with experience in community mental health, medical social work, and group therapy. I work with adults 18+ and seniors 65+ who are navigating life transitions, stress, anxiety, or simply need a supportive place to talk things through. I also provide therapy to those in the medical field, experiencing burnout and compassion fatigue. I am especially interested in clients facing eating disorders, grief and loss as well as looking at career change.
Clients describe me as approachable, caring, and practical. My goal is to create a safe space where you feel comfortable sharing your story without fear of judgment. I use CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy, SFBT, solution focused brief therapy as well as a strengths based approach in therapy. I believe healing starts with being heard. In our sessions, you’ll have space to tell your story, share what brought you to therapy, and explore new perspectives.
My style is collaborative and supportive — I’ll help you reframe unhelpful thoughts, practice practical coping skills like journaling and mindfulness, and problem-solve to create realistic solutions for your future. I became a therapist after working as an RN for many years. I realized that I was interested in exploring a client's back story regarding stress. I am a dog lover, and also enjoy going to the gym, and watching documentaries.

Stacey: My approach to helping people with grief and loss is meeting the client were they are at in their grief.
Debra Rose: My go-to approach for helping people in grief & loss counseling is to use the 5 Stages of Grief developed by Dr. Elizabeth Kubler Ross. I find the best benefit in this approach because I can target the stage the client is in presently, develop a treatment plan based on that stage, and then move forward.

Debra Rose: I teach the following tools in grief & loss counseling. They are the 5 stages of grief:
Stacey: I know a client is making meaningful progress in grief and loss therapy through client reports and hearing how the client is talking about the loss.
Debra Rose: I know a client is making meaningful progress in grief & loss counseling when they can show that they have moved through a stage and their actions have changed. For example, they start eating and sleeping again.
Stacey: Clients can supplement their time in grief and loss therapy by using material and listening to podcasts discussed in the session. The best supplement is practicing the tools the client learns in sessions and understanding it takes time to heal.
Debra Rose: Clients can supplement their time in grief & loss counseling by looking at YouTube videos I have selected for them and also filling out pre-selected worksheets on this topic. We can then discuss the videos and worksheets in a session.
Stacey: To prepare for your first grief and loss session, you can remind yourself that this is the therapist's job: to help you to be open and honest.
Debra Rose: To prepare for their first grief & loss counseling session, the client can write a short paragraph about what their recent experience has been about this loss, or they can create a short audio tape explaining what happened in their own words.
Grief and loss counseling helps people grieve difficult losses including the death of a loved one, the loss of a job, or the end of a relationship. It helps people navigate their grief process and eventually accept, understand, and move forward from their loss. Thriveworks grief therapists in West Palm Beach, FL have specific experience, training, and skills that enable them to best support grieving individuals.
Grief and loss counseling isn’t one-size-fits-all, but it involves sharing about your loss and then working with your counselor to acknowledge and accept your new reality in its wake. Your provider at Thriveworks in West Palm Beach, FL will design your treatment plan around your unique needs and goals for therapy, applying the counseling techniques that best support them.
If you have recently experienced an event like the death of a loved one, a breakup or divorce, the loss of a job, or another major life change, then you may want to seek grief and loss counseling. Grief can be caused by many experiences and events, so if you feel that you are having trouble moving on from a certain event or find that it is still impacting your life and functioning, grief and loss counseling can help you process it more effectively so that you can move on and once again find fulfillment and satisfaction in your life.
There are many counseling theories for treating grief, one of the most frequently used being the dual process model of grief which helps people acknowledge who or what they’ve lost through rumination while also adjusting to the new roles and identities that this loss has now placed on them. There are also many commonly used therapy approaches used in grief and loss counseling, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and traumatic grief therapy.
Grief & loss counseling at Thriveworks is conducted both in person and online by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
