About
I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and my role is to help you uncover your strengths and move toward the life you want.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 4 years of experience helping adults navigate depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, trauma, and major life transitions. I strive to create a compassionate and collaborative environment where clients feel safe to explore their emotions, strengthen their sense of self, and build lasting confidence through self-awareness, emotional growth, and personal empowerment.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from Sam Houston State University. My therapeutic approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused strategies, person-centered techniques, and reality therapy to encourage insight, resilience, and meaningful progress throughout the healing process.
Reaching out for help is a powerful act of courage and self-commitment. My goal is to offer a genuine and supportive space where you feel seen, heard, and understood as you work toward lasting change. I look forward to walking alongside you on your journey toward healing and personal growth.

My go-to approach for helping people in individual therapy is having a person-centered approach and teaching some mindfulness coping skills. I prefer this because it creates a safe environment, builds awareness, and helps to identify the best coping skills for their stress.
I teach the following tools in individual therapy: distress tolerance, mindfulness, emotion regulation, and interpersonal communication.
A client is making meaningful progress when I start to see that they are able to spend part of the session talking about the things that went right vs. the things that went wrong. For children and teens, I can tell there's progress whenever a parent tells me that they are spending more time together and a child/teen is opening up more to their parent.
Clients can supplement their time in individual therapy by reading any recommended books and setting up some individual time with someone who can make them feel safe.
To prepare for your first individual therapy session, you can make sure to have access to any relevant medical and psychological history.
Individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, allows people to engage in private sessions with a skilled therapist, counselor, or psychologist. The core objective of individual therapy is to establish a secure and confidential setting where you can openly discuss whatever emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges you face. Through these one-on-one sessions, the client and therapist work together to delve into, comprehend, and ultimately find solutions for the issues at hand in their life.
Individual therapy unfolds in a structured process, commencing with an initial assessment in which the therapist gathers essential information about your history, concerns, and objectives. Together, you and your therapist collaboratively establish specific, attainable goals for your sessions, which can encompass symptom alleviation, personal development, or finding solutions to particular challenges.
Yes, individual therapy, also known as Individual therapy, at Thriveworks can help you to improve your mental health and overall quality of life.
