I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 4 years of experience providing individual and group counseling in community mental health, both inpatient and outpatient. My name is Josias Pincay. I received my master's degree in Psychology with a Clinical Concentration from the University of Dallas in 2025, a university whose emphasis on the phenomenological and psychoanalytic traditions of psychology provided a well-rounded foundation in approaching patients not as a cluster of symptoms, but as individuals with their own unique histories and ways of being in the world, and whose symptoms are latent with meaning and function (even if dysfunctional). 

I lean strongly on the fundamentals of Lacanian psychoanalysis, focusing on HOW you talk about your life and problems to explore the underlying dynamics of a symptom or behavior. The aim is to spark curiosity and awareness of your own thoughts and actions, developing insight and ultimately dealing with the root of the problem rather than its branches.
