About
I care deeply about people and animals across the globe.
I'm a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Missouri. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, providing individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments for people with depression, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, PTSD, and more. In college counseling centers, I have supported clients seeking therapy for personal growth and self-exploration. I use a client-centered approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma processing, and solution-focused techniques to tailor treatment to each person's needs.
I was educated in Japan and the U.S., studying in Oregon, Washington, and California. I earned an APA-accredited doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in cross-cultural and international psychology. I value cultural diversity and am published in human-animal interactions and international psychology.
Through therapy, I aim to support your personal growth and help you lead a fulfilling life. I am committed to being a steady source of support during difficult times, helping you strengthen your coping skills and cultivate a renewed sense of hope, purpose, and meaning in life.

Psychologists can assist you with everything from mental illnesses to support in making big decisions. Talk therapy is the most traditional and common form of therapy. This is when you sit down with your therapist to talk about how you feel, what you’re facing, and what your goals are. You might be asked to address a phobia or stressor in order to work through your thoughts and reactions. In other instances, you could be rewarding positive behavior or thoughts to train your brain to shift its focus.
Your licensed psychologist might utilize the above methods as well as any others they might see fit for your situation. Psychologists do not prescribe their clients medication. Suppose you and your therapist feel like you might benefit from taking a medication. In that case, they’ll work closely with your primary care provider or psychiatrist to ensure the correct medication is prescribed for your needs.
