About
I care deeply about people and animals across the globe.
I'm a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Missouri. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings, providing individual, family, and group therapy, as well as psychological assessments for people with depression, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, PTSD, and more. In college counseling centers, I have supported clients seeking therapy for personal growth and self-exploration. I use a client-centered approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma processing, and solution-focused techniques to tailor treatment to each person's needs.
I was educated in Japan and the U.S., studying in Oregon, Washington, and California. I earned an APA-accredited doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, specializing in cross-cultural and international psychology. I value cultural diversity and am published in human-animal interactions and international psychology.
Through therapy, I aim to support your personal growth and help you lead a fulfilling life. I am committed to being a steady source of support during difficult times, helping you strengthen your coping skills and cultivate a renewed sense of hope, purpose, and meaning in life.

Grief can be caused by many experiences and events, so if you feel that you are having trouble moving on from a certain event or find that it is still impacting your life and functioning, grief and loss counseling can help you process it more effectively so that you can move on and once again find fulfillment and satisfaction in your life.
There are many counseling theories for treating grief, one of the most frequently used being the dual process model of grief which helps people acknowledge who or what they’ve lost through rumination while also adjusting to the new roles and identities that this loss has now placed on them. There are also many commonly used therapy approaches used in grief and loss counseling, including Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and traumatic grief therapy.
