I have been in a place where it felt that a storm of problems was all there is to life, and I know that together we can find at least one good reason to hold on.
I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) with 12 years of experience in the mental health field. I specialize in helping individuals navigate depression, anxiety, anger management, and life transitions. My work includes supporting men managing intense emotional responses, couples who feel disconnected, and individuals who feel stuck or overwhelmed by circumstances that make it difficult to move forward.
I earned my master’s degree in counseling from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth. My clinical experience includes work in a behavioral health hospital serving individuals with significant emotional and mental health challenges. I primarily use narrative therapy, helping clients explore how their life experiences have shaped their current challenges.
Together, we will examine the stories that have been shaping your thoughts, emotions, and decisions. I help clients identify strengths, reconnect with personal values, and build clarity around what matters most to them. My goal is to support you in moving forward with renewed purpose, confidence, and direction in your life.

As a former school social worker turned therapist, I specialize in helping adolescents feel safe, seen, and supported while navigating life’s challenges.
Ashley Parrish is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children and families in school and community settings. She now specializes in supporting adolescents ages 9-16 through anxiety, trauma, behavioral struggles, and emotional overwhelm, helping teens make sense of their emotions and gain tools for emotional regulation and self-leadership. Ashley also supports adults navigating transitional seasons through a grounded, client-centered lens.
Ashley earned a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is eye movement desensitization reprocessing-trained and deeply relational in her approach, blending nervous system regulation, somatic practices, and trauma-informed care to help teens build resilience, confidence, and self-trust.
Ashley provides a calm, connected space for children and teens to process big emotions, build self-awareness, and develop nervous system regulation. Her trauma-informed, relationship-centered approach helps young clients feel empowered, understood, and more in control of their emotional world.

My go-to approach for helping people in online therapy is being engaged in the conversation and utilizing the tools of Zoom to keep the session engaging.
I teach the same tools I would teach with in-person therapy sessions. In some cases, it is more beneficial to have online therapy because the resources are right there on the screen for everyone to see.
I know a client is making meaningful progress in online therapy when we run out of things to talk about and/or sessions are canceled more often because they feel they don't need them.
Clients can supplement their time in online therapy with hobbies that bring them joy, outdoor activities in order to be physically active and get that fresh air, mindfulness activities, and creative tasks to utilize their artistic brain.
To prepare for your first online therapy session, you can double check and test the link, find a private space to speak freely, and plug in that laptop/phone!
With Thriveworks, Online therapy is an effective alternative to in-person therapy services in which a client can speak to a Thriveworks therapist remotely via online video conferencing. Online sessions are just as effective as in-person treatment, but they can also provide added benefits like reduced travel time, saving money on transportation or childcare, and increased access to care.
Online therapy works much like traditional in-person therapy but takes place through secure video conferencing. Clients can attend Online therapy from any safe place they choose that has access to the internet, whether that be their home or another easily accessible place. Like in-person treatment, a therapist will work with their client to address their concerns, create goals, and establish an effective treatment plan.
There is no best option for online therapy—instead, it’s best to focus on finding a provider that meets your specific needs and with whom you can form a professional connection with.
Yes, online therapy is just as effetive for many clients as in-person sessions.
Online therapy can last for a few months to years depending on the goals and symptoms of the client. The treatment process will be unique to each client and lend itself to their specific concerns, which means that the time it takes to treat them will always be different. Timing is also up to the client themselves; they are free to stop therapy whenever they please, especially if they feel they have reached their goals and addressed their concerns.
At Thriveworks, we accept most major insurance plans, allowing many clients to pay as little as $0–$50 per session with their co-pay. We also offer self-pay options for those out-of-network or without insurance. Self-pay rates for talk therapy range from $160 to $240 for intake sessions and $135 to $195 for follow-ups, depending on your state. For psychiatry services, self-pay intake sessions are $255–$375, with follow-ups ranging from $175–$300, also varying by state. More information on current self-pay costs is available on our pricing page.
