You’ll get the most accurate information if we know where you’re seeking care, as insurance coverage and self-pay rates vary by state.
Below are the insurances we accept in your state. Don’t see yours listed or don’t have insurance? You can still get help through self-pay.
*This is a common co-pay range for mental health services with an in-network provider; however, you may have a different co-pay or other out-of-pocket costs (such as a deductible), dependent upon your specific plan’s benefits. After confirming that the provider you’d like to work with accepts your plan (over the phone with our support team or on the provider’s profile), please contact your insurance to determine your exact financial responsibility, prior to scheduling.
Get individual therapy for depression, stress, and more (for yourself or your child/teen). Or, work through your unique relationship challenges in couples/marriage or family therapy.

Your therapist will explore your reasons for care & how ADHD impacts your life. It may feel formal, but it allows them to create a tailored, achievable treatment plan you can begin next session.
Your provider will work with you to structure your ongoing sessions based on your service, goals, symptoms, & schedule, as you work through your treatment plan.
Depending on the goals you agree on & set with your therapist, ADHD therapy may look different for everyone. Some common approaches you might try are cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), & life coaching.
Your therapist will regularly check in, welcoming feedback & focusing on key progress indicators such as goal achievement & moving forward in managing your symptoms.
If your therapist’s approach or style isn’t a good fit, don’t worry! Let them know, & they can either adjust or refer you to another therapist within our Thriveworks provider network.

It’s important to first remember not to try diagnosing yourself—only trained mental health professionals, such as those at Thriveworks, can perform the necessary evaluations required for someone to be properly diagnosed with ADHD. However, common signs of ADHD in individuals of all ages includes hyperactivity, inability to focus, irritability, difficulty completing sentences or trains of thought, impulsive behavior, and more.
ADHD can be treated with cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychoeducation, mindfulness, and more. While your therapist’s preferred treatment method may vary from other providers, generally speaking, your ADHD therapy sessions will focus on developing coping strategies, time management skills, and behavioral adjustments.
Medication is sometimes preferred as a complimentary treatment option for individuals with ADHD, but it isn’t always required. At Thriveworks, you will have the option to seek evaluation and treatment from both a psychiatric nurse practitioner and a therapist, who will work synchronously to treat your ADHD symptoms.
The number of sessions that you’ll attend is entirely up to you, and with your provider’s input and your personalized treatment plan to help guide you, you may require more or less sessions to see significant progress than other clients. This is normal. Because learning new coping skills and behavioral adjustments takes time to understand implement, a certain amount of patience is required when first beginning therapy.
You can opt to meet at a physical office or from the comfort of your home when you schedule with Thriveworks. The choice is yours; while some individuals prefer the intimacy and tangibility of meeting in-person, others enjoy the freedom and flexibility offered from our online therapy sessions.
