About
I draw from years of working at the intersection of mental health, education, and workforce development to help clients move forward with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
I'm a licensed professional counselor dedicated to helping professionals navigate leadership pressures, career transitions, identity development, and emotional well-being. My background spans workforce development, talent strategy, and mental health practice. I've led statewide initiatives and built programs to strengthen mental health and professional readiness. This gives me deep understanding of how workplace stress, organizational dynamics, and personal expectations shape daily life. I work primarily with professionals navigating demanding careers or transitions—many facing burnout, stress, or uncertainty about their next steps.
My approach blends reflective work with concrete tools. I help clients explore identity, challenge limiting beliefs, strengthen emotional regulation, and reconnect with purpose using CBT, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Therapy is a judgment-free space where you can be honest and gain strategies to move through challenges with clarity.
If you're feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or ready for something to shift, you're not alone and I'm here to help. I meet you with authenticity and compassion, helping you process what you're carrying, heal from the past, and build confidence to move forward with clarity. Together, we can explore what's possible and help you toward the life you want to live.

As someone who has experienced personal trauma in relationships, I have an authentic understanding of divorce, family loss, job loss or financial loss and how we can transform our mindset to one that can become self-actualized and attract peace, love, happiness and joy again.
I am an EMDR certified professional who can help clients get through any storm whether it is divorce, chapter 7 bankruptcy, job loss, heavy financial losses, sex addiction, drug addiction or loss of loved ones who passed away suddenly. I can help clients build new treatment plans, achieve the next level or assist in your self re-invention of your personality or ego or help let go of trauma. I typically work with young people 18 years old to seniors going into retirement or single/widowed people wanting to create new bonded relationships/family relationships with people.
Clients can expect a fast turn around or planned ascent towards real goals. Clients learn how Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Psychotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming, Bibliotherapy or Cinematherapy can create new solutions or possibilities for the future timeline.
We invite you to take the next step into transforming your life by scheduling a virtual appointment and immediately gaining results for yourself and taking bold steps to create a life of true fulfillment, happiness, peace and love.

Family therapy helps families resolve conflicts and strengthen their relationships. It is led by qualified mental health professionals like psychologists, licensed professional counselors (LPCs), and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs) who have extensive training in family dynamics and group communication.
Thriveworks family therapists in Detroit, MI usually begin by asking what everyone’s goals are for family counseling. Family members may need help with very specific issues or with general relationship functioning. But there are three main purposes in family counseling: to educate, to counsel, and to strengthen. Thriveworks also offers online family therapy and in-person services, so you may all meet in an office together or join a video call from your home depending on everyone’s location and availability.
The most effective form of Family therapy will often depend on the family itself, as there are many types of family therapy for therapists to use as they see fit in order to best meet the needs of their clients. However, one of the most commonly used types of family therapy is structural family therapy (SFT). SFT focuses specifically on family dynamics and interactions, looking at how they shape the relationships and structure present in the family. It can be effectively used to treat a variety of concerns.
This answer often looks different to each family that starts family therapy. However, some signs that your family might need to consider family counseling include frequent fights or misunderstandings, constant tension, experiencing loss, behavioral issues, marital issues, divorce, and blended family issues, among others.
In family therapy, therapists will often start by asking questions and assessing individual and family dynamics. From there, they may employ therapeutic techniques such as structured family therapy, CBT, strategic family therapy, and more depending on the present concerns and conflicts. From there, a therapist will work to open lines of communication between family members and facilitate emotional healing and growth.
Family therapy can be incredibly successful, with some studies reporting a success rate of almost 90% for improving participants’ emotional and mental health, and around 66% for improving their physical health.
Thriveworks therapists in Detroit, MI offer both online family therapy and in-person family therapy. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
Family therapy is usually short term and solution-focused, with most families accomplishing their goals in 12 sessions or fewer. However, it can also last for longer if the probles at hand are more complex — and that’s okay, too.
