About
I believe it is important to meet clients where they are and be supportive through growth and change.
I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor with 2 years of experience. I have worked in crisis intervention, school-based counseling, and family therapy, supporting adolescents, young adults, and families. I focus on helping clients manage anxiety, depression, panic disorders, adjustment concerns, relationship issues, and family dynamics. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where growth and healing can take place.
I earned my Master’s in Counseling from Cairn University. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and aspects of play and art therapy. I use these tools to help clients explore feelings, build healthy coping strategies, and achieve meaningful progress.
I believe every client deserves to be heard and supported in reaching their goals. I provide a warm, safe space for open and honest conversations while guiding clients toward personal growth, resilience, and a higher quality of life. I am dedicated to walking alongside clients as they work toward the changes they want to see.

In working with teens, I work to establish a connection and utilize a more relational approach in helping them identify goals they want to work toward. Working with teens is enjoyable, as you can see progress made through their confidence, communication, and expression.
In working with teens, we work toward whatever goal(s) the teen has. This oftentimes looks like understanding their own emotions, improving communication, or managing social situations. Skills can be in coping strategies, self-talk, or soothing strategies.
When teens are making progress, they come to sessions with more happy or prideful moments rather than moments that are upsetting or sad.
Outside of sessions, teens are encouraged to utilize skills discussed in the session.
Teens can prepare for their first sessions by identifying areas of concern for themselves.
Teen counseling helps young individuals better understand and manage the challenges that affect their mental health. Common challenges amongst teens include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and problematic relationships with food.
Teen counseling works by using multiple techniques, tailored to fit the teen’s unique needs — based on their age group, their challenges, and the severity of their challenges. It might involve cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, art therapy, and others for varying ages. In any case, Thriveworks teen therapists in Bensalem have the expertise and experience to help young individuals at their level.
Signs that teens might need Teen counseling can be very subjective, as they are experiencing many changes and can have intense reactions to them. As parents, you know your child best and are best equipped to judge whether certain reactions are standard behaviors for your teen or whether they might be hinting at a larger problem. Even so, there are a few common signs and events that often point to a need for therapy, such as experiencing divorce or loss, grief, consistent low moods, teens distancing themselves and becoming isolated, losing interest in hobbies, excessive anger or irritability, substance use issues, and suicidal ideation, among others.
Teen counseling providers at Thriveworks in Bensalem, PA offer both in person and online therapy by video. We encourage you to choose the option that works best for you.
The length of teen counseling depends on your teen’s needs as well as the goals that you and their therapist might have for them. Generally, teen counseling sessions will last for several months.
